Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award
Follow the Path of a Winner
Unless you’ve been hiding under a box, you’ve surely heard about
SeekingSitters, Inc., the winner of the first Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.
That win has promoted the business throughout the world. SeekingSitters
recently made the 2008 list of Best Women-Owned Companies by Working
Mother magazine. And it all started because she applied.
Although by the time you read this it will be too late to attend the Kick-Off for

htm, the Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award application process continues.
Our speaker this month is one of those people who helped Adrienne Kallweit
and her husband during the competition. Dick Rubin, owner of Entrepôt, a
business development consulting service, will help us understand the process
from the viewpoint of a coach to last year’s competitors. He will give us
insight into what our businesses might do to put our companies in the Spirit
Award business plan competition.
Mr. Rubin has the background because he has been an active member of
the Oklahoma Business Incubator Association and the Oklahoma Venture
Forum and is a past member of the Governors Small Business Commission.
Additionally, he is a member of the Spirit Bank Strategic Resource Team.
So if you’re playing with the idea of applying for the $25,000 first place
grant, come hear from the man who knows what you need to know. Meet
with us at the Celebrity Club at 5:30 on Tuesday, April 8. You may gain the
information you need to be the winner!
